Est. 2025 · An international young authors’ guild

About the Guild
The Tangent Guild is an international group of young authors dedicated to blessing others through writing wholesome, worthwhile short stories.
Led by Ann Weaver, the group formed in November of 2025 and published their first anthology, Ashes For Another, in June 2026. They plan on launching their second in early 2027.
In the meantime, the group — scattered around the globe — is busy working on their own separate writing projects, hobbies, and schooling.
We have two main reasons. First of all, our group is prone to going off on random tangents — when on video calls, in our group chat, or anywhere else we happen to meet up.
Secondly, all of our authors are from a Christian background, and all Christians are in part “on a tangent” — meaning that they are different — because they are followers of Christ.
We’d be honored if you’d follow ours.

The Anthology
An Anthology · Ten short stories on protection and sacrifice.
From a DNA-altering government to a persecuted queen, from swashbuckling pirates to a prince facing an impossible choice, Ashes For Another spans universes and genres in ten different stories exploring the themes of protection and sacrifice.
“The Tangent Guild are breakthrough innovators. Where the world tells us to stop and wait, they created something new, unique, and beautiful. The market needs more anthologies like this — anthologies that celebrate courage and virtue in the great and small moments of life. With beautiful pacing and prose that echoes the classics, this anthology will inspire you to find the stories in your own life and live a better one!”
The Authors
Scattered across the globe and united by a love of story — the writers behind The Tangent Guild.

Esther Dawn is a young Christian writer, poet, singer-songwriter, and creator whose desire is to honor her Lord through her art. She writes adventurous, whimsical, and sometimes magical tales, and loves painting nature and sketching pictures of her cat.

Carly N. Droullard lives and breathes storytelling, and she wouldn’t be able to stop if she tried. Enchanted from a young age by tales of dragons, monsters, and magical wardrobes, she seeks to tell stories that will be a blessing to those who read them.

Anna Kailin Fletcher is an aspiring singer/songwriter, wildcat lover (and cat mom!!), artist, and child of God. She’s learning all about how to learn, cat care, how to improve as a writer and artist, and how to help tigers and cheetahs. She’s also a young writer, penning (actually typing) stories spreading hope in the hardship, light in the darkness.

Abby Kay lives in the Midwestern United States with her parents and six siblings. She is Catholic and homeschooled. Abby loves kittens, art, theater, and chocolate.

Bobbie Lathrop was imagining stories long before she thought to pick up a pen. While she secretly hopes she’ll find her way to Narnia someday, her greatest passion is writing about family, hope, and resilience.

Anastasia Nicole Meservy is a homeschooled high school Idahoan. She loves Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and pretty much all things fantasy.

Chloe Quinn is the oldest in her growing family, and because of that, protection has always mattered deeply to her. So when she was offered this chance, she jumped for it.
Grace Sudlow is a Catholic Christian writer from the wilds of Western England. She has been writing since she could form sentences on paper, and writes for the glory of God, always! Her goal is to crack the shell of modern teen fiction, and pour a bit of Christian light into the darkness. Her main WIP, For My Family, is a historical fiction novel exploring revenge, forgiveness, self-hatred, and saving grace.
